Hi there! My name is Kaye and I am the proud (and often paint-splattered) wife of an incredible builder who has spent years crafting stunning homes, dreamy bathrooms, and kitchens that practically beg for dinner parties. I’ve watched him work his magic time and time again—but if you know the saying, “the builder’s wife never gets the house,” you know where this is going.
Well… the day has finally come! My husband and I are building our very own starter home. It may not have all the bells and whistles, but it’s ours—and that makes it perfect.
Here’s the twist: despite being married to a builder, I had no idea how much work goes into building a house. So I started this blog to document the journey, share the highs and lows, and help other first-time home builders navigate the process—from the perspective of someone learning it all as she goes.
